Choosing the Right Wedding Flowers

Article by Claire Jarrett

Wedding flowers are equally important to a wedding as the attractive dress of the bride, the wedding cake and the customized wedding rings. It is wise to select wedding flowers based on the season when the wedding event is going to be held. Wedding flowers must suit the shades and designs of the wedding couple’s outfits. Even though, few wedding couples choose dark colored flowers for their wedding, the majority of couples like to have the elegant and classical white flowers in their hands during their wedding. Some of the most famous flowers that are commonly used as wedding flowers include tulips, lilies, hydrangeas, peonies and roses. One of the unique advantages of roses and lilies is that they are available during all the seasons of the year. When choosing wedding flowers, it is very important to choose the suitable bouquet for the wedding as well. The top three most famous and renowned shapes of wedding bouquets include the classical posy type, shower or cascade variety that is made in the shape of a teardrop and the lengthy and sleek armed bouquet that can be held on the arm portion. All types of flowers will be suitable for the bride if she is going to wear a white or cream colored dress. However, if the bride is going to wear a different colored wedding outfit other than white or cream, then it is best to choose similar colored flowers suitable for the wedding outfits like red with green, purple with yellow. Equal importance must be given when choosing the wedding flowers for the bridesmaids. The male attendees of the wedding event must utilize the flower that has a single buttonhole and suits the dominating flower variety present in the wedding bouquets. Based on the hair style of the brides, certain artificial flowers can be placed in the bride’s hair for more attraction. Large amounts of small sized flowers can be scattered all through the hair or a single large sized flower can be kept in the bride’s hair depending on the hair style of the bride. To choose the right flower to complement the hair style of the bride, consulting the hair stylist will be greatly helpful. Flowers can be organized in pedestal style if the wedding event is going to be held in a big church. Finally, placing a single flower or small sized flower bouquets along the aisle in all the seat’s rows will make the wedding venue more beautiful.
